5 Steps to Manage Your Money

You might have heard me say that if you manage your money, you manage your destiny.

If you aren’t crystal clear about YOUR therapy business finances, there are 5 steps you can take today to get clear.  And I share those 5 steps with you in this short animated video.

Watch it here (and please leave a comment below after you watch!):

As you can see, the 5 steps are:

  1. Know what you need for your personal expenses (What you want your business to pay you)
  2. Know what your need for your business to run (Your business expenses)
  3. Add in some extra for profit, inflation, and business growth and that becomes your Income Goal
  4. Decide what you need to do to meet that income goal (how many sessions, programs, workshops, VIP days)
  5. Track weekly and monthly (without judgment) and then course correct as needed

Let’s stop being afraid or confused or avoiding looking at “the numbers.” Proper money management is crucial for building a sustainable and profitable therapy business. (And I know you can do this!!)

I’d like to help you in this process with my new class: Therapy Business Finances. In 8 weeks, you’ll be on your way to managing your money and therefore your destiny.

  1. You are so right. We learned a lot about this on our coaching call this week. It was great. It’s like home finances: if you don’t have a budget on your computer then you can find yourself short of funds. You have to know what’s coming in and what’s going out and what for. I’m not taking a salary yet because I need to put it all into development. That’s OK. I’ll get there.

  2. Casey,
You are gifted in your ability to take the tough issues, consolidate them into a language that makes sense and makes the tough tasks seem doable. I continue to be blessed by you, your work and guidance, and my practice continues to thrive. Because of you and your coaches I have tackled so many of the tough financial issues in my practice. For anyone new to Be A Wealthy Therapist, I encourage you to take advantage of the resources they offer. If you are ready to see your business thrive and become a business owner and entrepreneur, this is the place to be!
